In a unique and powerful partnership between nonprofit MATTER, Zimbabwe's First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa's Angel of Hope Foundation, Love for Africa, and MATTER ambassador Jeannie Burns Buckner, we are working to expand healthcare throughout the country, from building clinics to serve remote communities to equipping and improving hospitals and maternity & pediatric care.
One of the most remote areas in the country, Binga was desperately in need of a healthcare facility to serve the 40,000 people from surrounding villages. With MATTER friend Jeannie Burns Buckner championing the project, and Love for Africa overseeing the effort on the ground, this state-of-the-art facility opened in 2022, providing critical healthcare to thousands of people. The project also includes a mothers’ waiting house, nurses and doctors quarters, with a nutrition garden and Chaya tree plantation to feed patients and staff.
